Capacity-building for farmer associations and CRDDs
AREA developed training materials and held a training Feb. 17-20 at the Kenscoff Communal Initiative Center on various business and organizational topics that the associations identified as priorities.
The 46 attendees included members of farmer associations, the CRDDs of Robin and Duvier, and the private sector, including operators of shops that cater to farmers.
Training modules covered organizational leadership, developing a business plan, developing or revising bylaws, creating an organizational structure compatible with a group’s mission, developing a marketing plan, creating a resource development plan, and evaluating the effectiveness of an organization.
