Constructing a Solar Grain Dryer

Researchers at the University of California Davis for the Horticulture Innovation Lab modified a solar dryer that they developed for dry fruits and vegetables to dry grains and seeds.

The modified dryer is designed to allow farmers and others to use the sun to efficiently dry seeds and grains for long-term storage. Farmers can add value by storing crop surpluses for use throughout the year. AREA translated the UC Davis manual to Creole.

Download the manual. There are English and Creole versions.
